The Candidate
We are looking for a highly motivated Trade Support Specialist - Sustainability to join our Amsterdam office. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of trade operations while maintaining strict adherence to ISCC sustainability requirements. You will leverage your expertise in sustainability compliance and regulatory frameworks to optimize trade processes, manage risk, and enhance operational efficiency.
The Role
As a Trade Support Specialist Sustainability, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our trade operations run smoothly and align with ISCC sustainability requirements. You will be responsible for the full settlement of transactions, sustainability calculations, data analysis and regulatory compliance, while staying up to date with evolving sustainability legislation. This role requires a technical mindset, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Main tasks:
- Ensure full settlement of trades:
- Proof of Sustainability (PoS) composition
- Trade contracting
- Certificate deliveries, invoicing and payments
- Inventory management
- Monitor and analyze relevant sustainability legislation (EU and international) and implement necessary compliance measures.
- Maintain and improve documentation for audits and sustainability reporting (e.g., CSRD).
- Ensure compliance with ISCC-certified sustainability regulations
- Ensure completeness and correctness of the trading administration
- Counterparty onboarding (incl. KYC/AML/CTF) and onboarding with our counterparties
- Process improvement
The Requirements
In order to be considered for the role you will meet the following:
- 1-4 years’ mid office experience in a trading environment
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in sustainability, compliance, or supply chain functions (experience with ISCC certification is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in sustainability calculations.
- Accurate, precise with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Advanced excel skills is considered a plus
- Living or willing to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
